...we're in a different place right now...than we were in three years back...aren't we? or are we in the same spot going through it again except just older and none the wiser?

what does it look like when the opportunity to make an identical mistake presents itself? ...it's not that if we had it all to do over again wiser and older we'd take a different route...in fact i am beginning to agree that history will repeat itself without some conscious effort to behave uncharacteristically different.
